Welcome to the forum

I will get you the link for revno

Back as promised
http://www.revouninstaller.com/

After using this use ccleaner to be sure that you are free of any remnants.

If you have just installed a program a day or two ago, I would suggest system restore. You will be guaranteed that everything is back to normal.

Thanks for the kind word and rep. My suggestion has been made by many members to others. It is considered the best way to uninstall. The system restore idea is mine. You do not uninstall, you put the OS back the way it was. Nothing will be remaining.

Enjoy and take care, my friend.

Personally, I've tried free Revo Uninstaller, commercial Your Unistaller and Total Uninstall. For me, the best is Total uninstall Uninstall program | Uninstaller software, alternative to Windows Add Remove Programs

Can you explain the differences?

Rich, how do you determine which Revo Mode works best for a given uninstall, or do you use the same mode for all?

Hi Gregg,

I do not use it much, have not found the need. I am very selective when I download a program. If I try the program and am not happy, I usually know pretty quickly. In that event, I use system restore to get rid of it. To further answer your question, I have used the same mode for all my uninstalls. I have not uninstalled anything since I began using Windows 7.

I use Revo too and think it is a good uninstaller. Problem is, for the Win7 64bit version you have to pay. The free version kind of works, but only for the x86 program files.

Which mode do you use it in? What is difference you have found in the modes, e.g. Intermediate vs Advanced. I get a lot of errors in Advanced Mode and haven't taken the time to study it out.

Dfferences between Revo and other two: as I said, I only tried free version of Revo, so it has a less functions and I don't remeber if it shows very details about the program.

Differences between Your and Total:

I haven't really compared the functions - i think they're much similar, but the main reason why Total is better I think that it is becase of this:

Your Uninstaller: http://i38.tinypic.com/oacis6.jpg
Total Uninstaller: http://www.ipix.lt/images/88658222.jpg

It's that Total shows a detailed list about the files of installed programs - and in Your uninstaller you only see icons of the programs.

However, I had an accident with Total: when removing Photoshop, it also deleted some anoother program files, don't remeber which now. Luckily, there was restore button :D

@Gregg, according to this your problem may be the fact that it does not work with 64 BIT. As I said I have not tried since I went to 64 bit with Vista, which was Dec 08.

I thought System Restore did not delete files, only restored the registry, sort of like ERUNT. Am I mistaken? Maybe that's just the way XP was.

System restore will remove programs. It will not change your files, folders, or documents. Windows 7 has back up and restore to return your documents to an earlier time and System Image to back up your hard drive. XP has a restore system not as good as Vista or Windows 7
