What is the best way to disbale automatic satrtup of programs?

Such as Adobe Reader quick launch and Scheduled task "Collection of usage data for Windows".

you can either find them in MSconfig this is found by typing msconfig into the searchbar in start menu

or use a program like Autoruns Autoruns for Windows

For scheduled tasks, go to Taskmanager by typing taskmanager into the searchbar

If you have CCleaner installed, it also has a startup tool. Click on tools> startup. Disable or remove. You do not need Adobe Reader quick launch, or Java's jsched.exe for instance. If you disable, you can always reenable if you find some dependancy. If you delete anything, you'd have to add manually if you ever had the need again. A Guy
