You need to right click it, choose properties. There you will see the folder path it resides in under "Path to executable". Knowing the exact program folder it points to will let you know which program it comes from.

Is your PC a SONY Vaio? (Not fair, I know it is!)

If so it's this:

Our database contains 21 different files for filename vsnservice.exe but just single file is in compliance with selected filter. This file belongs to product VSNService.exe and was developed by company Sony Corporation.
Product: VSNService.exe
Company: Sony Corporation
Description: VAIO Smart Network Service
Version: 3.0.2.12280

from
vsnservice.exe - What is the vsnservice.exe from Sony Corporation? (id:34900)

Hint: if the service is listed as VSNSERVICE - searching for VSN is unlikely to get the right result
