What Method Is Safer For Changing Cluster Size For OS Partition?

Greetings,my partner dislikes Her Windows 10 & wants Windows 7 to be added to Her laptop as dual-boot,we r about cloning Windows 10 from old HDD to new(2TB) & then add Windows 7 to cloned Windows 10 to be dual-booted & as She as a redactor & writer processes a lot of small files,i think,smallest clusters should be useful.
What method of clusters resizing is safer?
1) Resize Windows 7's partition clusters in Windows 10 & Windows 10's partition clusters in Windows 7(resize clusters of the inactive OS's partition)?
2) Order resizing clusters from active OS to its own partition(resize Windows 10's clusters by itself & Windows 7's clusters by itself),it reboots & resizes it's clusters,while restarting?
Both methods possible by Minitool Partition Wizard & Partition Guru,i use for partitioning.
Please,advise me,what method is safer & what of my partition managers is better for this task.
Goal: Both OS partitions to have cluster size 1=512B(current clusters r 8=4KB).
I will be glad for advice

Apart from the difficulty of obtaining a legitimate and usable licence for Windows 7 (these are rare these days and supply and demand has pushed the price higher and higher).

There is a potential issue that a current Laptop will use components that are not supported by the manufacturer for use with Windows 7, there are a number of threads on this forum with details and suggestions to get round the issues where possible.

As for the Cluster size I would always recommend that you use whichever the default is as this is what the manufacturer has tested and found to be the most reliable

Technically the Virtual OS would still need a valid licence, although to be honest I cannot see Microsoft caring much with the OS at end of life

I messed with cluster size many years ago in XP thinking I'd have some sort of speed improvement, but that wasn't the case. You're better off leaving at default, it won't matter much unless at least 80% of every single thing you have on a hard drive is about the same size of a cluster. You have to remember that programs and Windows components would utilize a bigger cluster size.

If you do change the cluster size, make sure you clone your disk first.

If you have a Win 7 retail license you can install on a new computer.
The problem is that installing win 7 on new hardware isn't an easy task as Win 7 installation files don't have the new required drivers (USB3.x, SATA, MVMe etc). You have to add those drivers to the installation disk (if available).

Use the default cluster size. Changing cluster size will be more part of the problem than part of a solution.
