I use Tinypic to host my pics, but I've seen others do this differently. I do wonder if I'm doing it wrong, I've never checked to see if any of the pics I upload expire at a later date. Obviously using something more permanent might help others benefit later.

On this site in particular, I've seen some use Seven Forums to host their pics, the URLs point to sevenforums.com/attachments/.... but how do they do this?

When posting your message simply click the 'Insert Image' icon on the toolbar above the box if you are using the Quick Reply method or 'Manage Attachments' if using the Advanced Editor and upload the image accordingly.
How you obtain the image varies from person to person I suppose with some preferring to host images on storage sites in the Cloud but all I do is usually employ the Snipping Tool to grab whatever image I want, save it to my desktop and then upload it from there.
You can also post screenshots etc. see this tute: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html

I use the paperclip for large screenshots and skydrive for smaller ones,
Post templates can also be a great asset using both methods and also using prior uploaded attachments but prior attachments don't get compressed as much as the original post did so I fell back to skydrive for the most part,
Cheers.

Snips are usually very large when you post them here. I sometimes reduce the size to 50% - especially in the tutorials.
