What photo repair tool can I use on this photo?

I want to eliminate the darker black spots so the entire floor is one shade. Shadows are ok but not the spots. I have old versions of ArcSoft PhotoStudio and Paint plus LunaPic and FastStone. Lowering the brightness doesn't work since everything gets darker.

Anything with a clone brush like lightroom or photoshop

Clone just copies a section of the picture, it wont even out the shade.

To even out the shade lower the contrast. That will make the gritty sections smoother. perhaps also reduce the vibrancy (saturation) slightly.

Changing the contrast doesn't eliminate the spots. Isn't there a tool where you can copy the color in one place and paste it to another? Similar to clone, but just for color.

Possibly you would be challenged to remove all the spots. Ive used a Spot Healing Tool or a Dust Removal Tool to clear up images on similar projects. However many of these "spots" are likely too large for a Healing Tool; they are more like patches plus they are situated on an uneven surface. So I rekon you'd only heal a few spots nearer the driving seat doing things that way.
So I'd even consider going the other way and try blend the patches into the background. You can blend the patches into the background by Sharpening the edges in an image. Sharpen the image to the maximum and then lower the contrast a couple of notches. You can do some Sharpening on LunaPic. If it helps, here is a link on sharpening:
