What program to use to make a logo of globe and words around it?

What kind of software do you have to use to make a logo with globe and words around it and how do you put words around the globe by typing and it automatically curving your typings into a semi circle around the globe?

From my limited experience, you need a program that uses vector-based graphics, not raster-based, to do work like that.

What would be an example of that kind of program. Photoshop?

Photoshop would be one choice, if you're looking for something free try GIMP - Downloads the Windows installer is about a third of the way down the page.


Using Google you should find some tutorials on circular text.

Don't know about Gimp, but you can do this easily in Photoshop. Its called text on a path.

Plenty of vids for text on a path on YouTube. You can get a free trial of Photoshop.

I've never used Photoshop before. I clicked "New" and it shows a rather small rectangular white box. I'm not sure what to do after that. I want to put the globe in, and then another image on top of that, as well as the word around it. Also I would like to delete some part of the image before putting it on top of the globe. How do you do these things?
