What RAM can I upgrade to?

Here's my motherboard specs, could someone tell me if I'm able to upgrade to 8gb DDR3 RAM with this motherboard? And also let me know what processor and video card are compatible with 8gb RAM?

I wouldn't look at upgrading anything until those voltages are confirmed, they look very suspect. Download Speccy as linked in my signature, run it and click on the Motherboard tab on the left. Take a screenshot and attach it to your next post.

A video card and memory have nothing to do with each other, don`t worry about that. But you really should install a video card.

If you`re not doing anything super serious with it, a 4 GB 960 will be just fine. (Do not get a 2 GB card)

Upgrade the cpu to the fastest possible you can afford and the motherboard supports. (AMD experts can help you with that)


We need a link that will tell us possible upgrades for this machine, not a website that shows current specs, that`s no help here at all.

Everything I am finding says the e-300 amd is a socket FT1 (BGA) and that it is typically in laptops. That socket/cpu combination is soldered into the mobo. Double check in device manager or computer properties what you truly have. If you have the specs for the mobo that should have the socket type and cpu model.

e-machines are budget boxes, one never knows what they'll do to sell a box rather than an upgrade component

Those voltages are very out of specs.

They were reported probably by some bogus program, the only way to check true voltages is in the bios, I would ignore what he found in post #1, probly not even close to actual.

Kidlonet, PLEASE fill in your specs, everything you put in your post is useless except the name of the PC.

If this is indeed a laptop, then just go get 2 4GB PNY sticks of 1333 MHz at your local Bestbuy for $40

Like I said, confirm those voltages in the bios.

A good PSU goes without saying But I`m sure he has a 1600 T2 in it

Once again, if this is a laptop, none of this matters anyway, and the OP hasn`t even come back so....

Power supply is in question.
Room for much of anything is also in question.
Room for proper case and cpu cooling is also in question in my opinion.

You can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear.

I did download and use Speccy and that's what I copy+ pasted. It's a desktop e-machine, not a laptop. (Sorry I took so long to reply, been pretty busy lately) Here's what it came as stock and what it still is: AMD E-300 dual-core processor, AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB Hard Drive. And I'll post a screenshot of speccy in next reply, but if speccy is giving me inaccurate information, can someone tell me how to get to the BIOS to get the accurate information?
