What replaced msconfig

It's been a long time since I had to do any administrative functions in windows. I remember that there was a replacement for msconfig to enable/disable services and startups but can't remember its name. Wrote it down once but can't find what I wrote it on.

Msconfig still works on my Win 7.

Doesn't really matter. If you use msconfig they will be stopped in Services.msc, same outcome. The only difference is in the snapin you can change other settings for each service.
The ones shown in msconfig are what is shown in Services. That is where msconfig get its info from. There and the RUN sections of the registry. msconfig just puts it all into one place on different tabs.

I personally don't use msconfig but it is there if someone wants to use it. MS hasn't removed it. Which is what the OP asked, basically.
