What "type" depends on what type of case and motherboard you have.

A typical system with that video card shouldn't use over 300 watts under a heavy load. The card alone shouldn't be over 150 watts.

The required wattage would depend on the rest of the components, but unless you've got an unusual situation, I'd just get a standard high quality PSU of around 500 to 550 watts, probably an ATX model. Brands like Seasonic, XFX, EVGA, Antec, Corsair.

I have a 520W Dynex PSU, I think it could run what about you?

I wouldn't take the chance.

I think that is a Best Buy house brand, probably made by Huntkey.

Not known for high quality PSUs.

520 is enough watts---but does it actually deliver 520 clean watts over the long haul under a variety of conditions? I wouldn't bet on it.

But it's your business, your money, and your hardware.

I'll recommend one to you if you will give me a web site or two from which you might actually order and a maximum price. I assume you use Canadian dollars.

Dynex is just a low quality brand. You take your chances. Maybe you get lucky, maybe you don't.

No and no.

Did you see the 3 I recommended?

Prices at Canadacomputers.com seem much higher than NCIX or Best Buy.

Can you order from Newegg.com in the USA?

If not, give me a link to their Canadian store.
