what type of i5 will fit in H61MA-D2V MB?

Currently the motherboard has a i3-2120 which fits into a 1155 slot.

I was thinking of getting a i5-3570 for it but I don't want to have to update the bios if that type needs it.

should I just get a i5-2000 series?

The mobo manufacturers website will show the bios versions for all the acceptable CPU's. I would be most surprised if the upgrade from the i3 to any i5 would require a bios update but you can put you mind to rest by checking your version in the bios next boot and then check to see if it's current and what the two chips are showing on the site.

Of course since the chipset and socket is compatible and the website says so too.

I know it will fit, I was just concerned that I would have to do a bios update for it to be compatible with
the 3000 series cpus.

I just look at the compatibility list for H61 and they are compatible.

Also, would I need a graphics card for this higher end CPU?

I know some cpus require the computer to have a GPU and im pretty sure this PC just has integrated graphics

No that is not really true. It will use the interegated graphics if it does not have a video card. But if you are getting one, you should get card that is better or else it would be a waste of money.

So I should get a card? Currently the computer is using 2 screens but they are both just connected to the MB.

Im guessing with a card it should run a little smoother if its using 2 screens
