Without consideration to power supply and cheap, you can pick something like a Radeon HD 5570 or 6670 and it should perform decently in most games. Depends on what you mean by cheap though. If you don't want Radeon HD, then you can go with an Nvidia GeForce 430 or 440 for some decent performance and cheap pricing.

Price range would help.....However this is not a good time to get a card:( . I got a 5850 for $139 a screaming deal....gone:(....a 5830 was $109....gone:(...the 5770...price hasn't moved:(

Until the 7xxx series shows up the 6xxx series will stay relatively pricey....

Your spec's say nothing about your power supply....a good quality psu is a must!

Model of motherboard would go a long way to helping as well. With what is listed in the specs, AOpen and a Pentium 4 at 2.4 GHz isn't much to go on, and no way of knowing what kind of slot is available for a card.

For what it's worth till we understand more my purchase of a MSI R5770 has me extremely pleased, it's a blazing product at an affordable price and is resource (psu) light as well as overclockable. It replaced a GTX260MaxcoreOC that was a good unit but was pricey in it's day, hot and power hungry.

MX4SG-4DN actually,

AOpen America ~ No. 1 uSFF solution and platform provider in green technology.

AGP or PCI only. Which then brings up the question of if it is even worth buying a new card for it, which to me it isn't. First if you add an AGP card (which is essentially dead and buried) you face the prospect of whatever limited support is built into Windows 7 for AGP as the chipset on that motherboard (Intel 865G) is no longer supported and the only chipset drivers for it is whatever Windows 7 installs for (which will only be basic), or the last XP drivers.

Second is that for the most part AGP cards for the most part don't have Windows 7 support. Third is the one that most don't want to hear. Sorry to say but the cost of a new card for a computer that old is in most cases more than the computer is worth. Fourth is if you do add a card to it, the card dies with the computer as you won't be able to transfer it to a new computer if or when you get one.

This is one of those where you would be better served to hold off on a video card until you get a new computer.

Agree 100%.... most of the cards that you find are from bottom feeder companies...they buy up old stock, slap something together, stick a big price tag on it...and wait:shock:

Beside I just lost another P4 machine....that brings my total to five....
