1 gig ram, 15gig hard drive... windows xp... 1.60 ghz intel atom processor I believe. nothing wrong with it other than it's got xp, and a small hard drive. most i've seen on ebay come with 160gb hard drives.
would $40 be a fair price with the charger and a case?

Personally I would keep it for the value of that system (about $15) and put Linux on it the friendly people at the Cup of Linux forums can and will gladly help you get started with Linux.
