Whats the best AVI merging app for free? windows 7

I have a bunch of AVI files in multiple parts (2,3 parts) that I want to merge into one file.

Coming from the MAC I had some go to tools, however on the windows side I've not found that application yet. Can someone please point me to the best free Video merging application if there are any!??

thanks but like I said Im looking for a free version all of these are limited trials with pay options. Looking for something opensource or free.

guys please Im asking for someones opinion on what they use what the best. Im not looking for a google list of free software. I know how to do that, and I did that before posting this. I wouldn't waste your time with trivial BS like that.

I cant find a FREE application that will do this so far. All these goolgle lists are shareware with LIMITED functions until you buy it. Does anyone HAVE recommendations?

Try VirtualDub.
Its absolutely free, and allows you split/crop AVI files, and to append segments to an AVI (which I guess is what you want to do).

Try it out and tell us how it went.
