Solved Whats the Normal Voltages for lga1155 boards

can someone give me a site or description of the normal voltages for lga1155 boards.

because some says the power supply generates voltages for the mobo right, if the voltages are given incorrectly to the board (over voltages) it may lessen the life span or even kill your pc.

Well that depends on what model we are talking about not all LGA 1155 will use the same power requirements due to some with out PCI-E lanes or some with other features that some boards don't

It does also narrow down to power saving features some Motherboards are strictly for overclocking while others are General Purpose if you have a particular board you are looking at then you should label it
down so we can give our advice

Why do you need to know this anyway did you overvolt a setting in the Bios by mistake ?

It also depends on which CPU you use. Sandy Bridge uses a little more power than Ivy Bridge. And Ivy Bridge can tolerate more power than Sandy. Exactly what voltages are you asking about?

no i didnt change any settings.whats the main problem having a voltage problem a psu or the motherboard. cause. i dont want to shorten my pc's life span easily

All parts have a limited life span no matter how you treat them

Best thing for you to do is keep all labels and receipts in case your product goes bad that way you can have the parts replaced for the cost of shipping

Solar is right. But, if you are at optimized defaults in BIOS, there should be no problem. What makes you think you have a problem at all? Unless your PSU is malfunctioning, it shouldn't be a problem. The PSU will only put out what the motherboard and CPU call for. You can only have to small a PSU wattage. Too big won't matter. I'm still unclear on what problem you are having or what causes you to think you have one. If you could be more specific, we could be more help to you.
