Hey everyone,

I have a HP Compaq 6710b and and there's some things I would like to do regarding the Battery. HP's built-in battery check says the battery's condition isnt the best and need calibration, which involves discharging and fully recharging the battery. And ive noticed myself it wont charge more than 91%

And here is my problem:
Tha battery just wont drain quickly!
Ive ran a CPU+GPU test WHILE checking an external HDD for errors and the battery still wont really go down in a reasonable speed.

And I need a solution:
Is there any software or tick that will help me discharge the battery as fast as it is scientifically possible?

Cheers :p

Just run anything that causes a high CPU or GPU usage for a while, that show increase energy consumption, while also put the screen at the brighest possible.
I found a torture test with Prime95 to cause the most usage, but any similar programs, benchmarks or similar would do.

Note however, that notebooks are specifically made to consume as little power as possible, so it'll still take a while.

Greetings Alejandro,
Thank you for your recommendations.
But unfortunately, it still wouldnt do.

I literally tried stressing both the gpu and cpu ( Stress My GPU | mprep’s website )while checking for bad sectors on an external hard disk while charging 3 mobile phones, and the battery still wouldnt go down in a reasonable speed, so i just left it and went to sleep and the next day it had no charge. Then i recharegd it and turned it on, thinking now HP Battery Check will mention that a calibration cycle had occured, but, to my surprise, it didnt. It still told me to calibrate!
