Well, I'm waiting to see what AMD is coming out with and the price. A china web site says their 9970 is supposed to be faster than the 780 and everything else except the Titan and the price is supposed to be $550 US. I sure hope that is true, although I put little faith in China web sites. But, if true would provide a very good option, not to speak of the fact that it would undoubtedly drive down the Nvidia prices. Release date is supposed to be October.
Leaked info says this is a comparason between the 9970 vs the GTX 780

I think I'm going to have to upgrade to the i7-4770k at some point, maybe with a mild OC and a hydro cooler.

I find that if they don't show then if I log into my google account on any browser then they usually show up.

I'm logged in to Google. They show up using IE when I checked earlier, I also saw all of the adverts in IE, I don't get those in Firefox either. Sorry for taking the thread off topic.

+ 1 to that, pointless getting one if you are not going to do any gaming.

I crunch for BOINC, and a lot of what I am able to do for the various projects for them uses my graphics cards in FLOPs, much more than my twelve threads, actually.

If you're rendering different things such as encoding certain files using the current Sony movie maker rendering software, you can take advantage of many threads and GPU acceleration.

I do some gaming, because I can and I'm interested in it. But honestly, most of the actual work I have my computer do uses my graphics cards.

Just something to keep in mind. It really depends what you use your computer for.

Me, well, I use my computer for a little bit of everything.
