Hi,

For some reason the collection application did not pick up any BSOD minidumps (it does this occasionally). Can you check C:\Windows\Minidump and upload anything you find there.

If there is nothing there then can you check the settings mentioned in this post to see if your system is set up correctly to collect dump files when it Blue Screens.

From the event logs I can see that you have had the following BSODs.
Code:

Note the mention of the 0x00000000c0000005 as the 1st parameter. This indicates some form of Memory Access Violation error. If we can't find a faulty driver then we are looking at a hardware fault.

Also - what is this device that causes the problems? Is it one specific device or does your PC BSOD when any USB device is plugged in?

Reventon

Hi,

bdfm.sys listed in both Driver Verifier dumps.

This is part of BitDefender. Uninstall this first and keep Driver Verifier running.

Replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials - http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Reventon

Yes, follow Reventon's good advice. He knows his stuff. ;)

Remember, you can always reinstall Bit Defender if you determine that is not the problem. However, the dumps do point to that!

As for MSE...yes, it is really good. ;)

Thanks for all your adivce everyone!

I narrowed it down to bitdefenders Settings on USB Detection. The option: Use Low Resources When Scanning A Device. Was unticked. And whenever i entered a usb it would overload my pc trying to scan the decive, :) THANKS AGAIN!
