When Flash is Activated to play a Game, Browser Slows

I almost use Firefox exclusively and keep it updated. However, for weeks now when I try to play an online game that needs Flash to play, some of them get really laggy. I wanted to know if there anything simple I can to do improve the speed. This one is an example of a laggy game:

In the Firefox options, is hardware acceleration on or off?

Do note that your CPU is very old and slow and Flash can and will choke on that slow CPU speed. It's best to try and play online simple games made with HTML5 instead of the very CPU hungry Flash-based games. HTML5 is replacing Flash.

checking his specs, he has an Intel Core 2 1.86 GHz cpu which is definitely not fast enough for modern video



maybe install a 3rd party graphics card that is faster than the onboard Intel Q965/Q963 Express chipset.
and maybe install a faster cpu as well (an Intel Core 2 2.66Ghz E6700 cpu should be an improvement over that old 1.86 cpu)


either one or both will greatly reduce the video lags

try turning it on (check "hardware acceleration")
if no improvement, install a faster CPU, a newer graphics card or do both
