when I try to reinstall and repair windows, wrong version error

If you did a clean reinstall of Windows 7 all you have to do is drag and drop the files you backed up to your profile C:\Users\{your account name } to the right folders .

I'm guessing you didn't go back as suggested and read over the steps in the tutorial for setting up your install perfectly, as this is covered in it. If not you;re missing a chance to have an install better than 95% of users out there.

Here's how: open each User folder backup, on Organize tab Select All, drag the group to the Documents folder on explorer bar at left, wait for it to unfold fully and confirm the copy location before releasing the left click. Do this for each User folder. Any loose files should be channeled into a User folder.
