Where are ActiveX add-ons stored (which directory)?

Hi,

I have a utility which deletes temporary files, internet history, recent file lists, etc. It allows me to specify exceptions so that it doesn't delete the files I want to keep.

I have a Slingbox and when I visit their site, there are cookies and an ActiveX add-on that get downloaded on my PC. So far I have been able specify the cookie in the exception list, but I don't know where the ActiveX files are stored such that I can put it in the exception list.

Furthermore, if I know the "descriptive name" of the ActiveX add-on, is there a way for me to find the actual file name in whichever directory the add-ons are stored?

They should be located in the "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files" folder.

Update: I tried it on an Outlook Web Access site and the download/run of the ActiveX component "MIME edit binary behavior" didn't store any files in the "C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files" folder. As a matter of fact, that folder stayed stagnant. There was no change.

Deleting all the temporary internet files, however, causes the ActiveX component to have to be re-run/re-downloaded when I revisit the site, so I'm thinking it must be in the temp internet files folder somewhere, but I just don't know how to determine the name.

Update 2: The file is in the Downloaded Program Files folder, but it never gets deleted, so now I'm not sure exactly what is "deleted" when I delete the temp internet files to cause the browser to re-download the ActiveX control when I revisit the site.
