Hello Labougie...

Updating your BIOS is not that dangerous, you just need to keep the computer powered while the update takes place. It takes from 1 to 3 minutes max to complete...It's not that hard.

If you follow the downloaded file instructions you won't have a problem. Most bios updates work from within windows nowadays.

A bios update can solve a few problems and add new features. I would recommend it since needed.

limneos,

what do you think about the acer digital license ( for windows ), i've read that this licence makes my windows register automatically, so, if i update my bios with the version you give me, is the microsoft license will be automatically recognise.

It's also the reason why, i'm not ready yet to update it. There is always the solution to phone to crosoft to register, but it's to long to dial all the numbers on the phone, it's really easy when the computer do this thing alone ;) .

labougie,

Hello Labougie...

I doubt that the licensing system from both Microsoft and Acer has anything to do with your bios version. You can update your bios , it has nothing to do with what software you have installed on your computer, Acer Digital Licensing or whatsoever.

Also, you don't need acer's software to activate your windows automatically. Windows does it itself as long as you have an internet connection.

Plus , in the worst case that after changing your BIOS version you need to re-register your windows software, still the acer licensing should work, you will still have an Acer bios, only updated to the latest version.

Note that updating your BIOS may not bring up an option for HYPER-V...it's just an assumption, but since it is an update with fixes and all, I would have done this already the minute I saw there IS an update.

Cheers

Limneos, Ex_Brites,

Thanks a lot for all your advices. I agree with the fact that to update bios is quite simple and fast, my computer runs very well, and that the reason why this update makes me sad, cause for usind the virtualisation i must update something important, and, seven is not my first boot, just for trainning period.
I think i stay there now,
It's a pleasure to write with you.

I have a look with the Ex_ Brite link. I donwload now the files, it takes a long time, (about 4 hours ), and i need some more explaintion about this donwload, cause i don't know what is it for.

Please Ex_Brite, explain to me, what is it for? Do i install it on seven first or on vista ?

Thanks a lot for all your help,

labougie,

Don't do anything if you aren't sure. I only posted the link as a possible solution to this problem, but don't think that you should go for it by any means.

Désolé mais mon Français n'est pas bon. C'était seulement une suggestion, pas une solution. Ignorez-le. Vous savez qu'il est possible de traduire une page Web entière employant Google ?
