Where did Smart Backup come from?

I noticed yesterday that with a file's icon selected on the Monitor, when I Right Click on it I get what I now know is an unfamiliar Save option (image attached here, not clear because I don't know how to snap an open OS window). The new option is 5th from the top with a blue icon. After clicking on it (I thought it was a normal Explorer option) a notice appeared in the tray at the bottom right of the monitor.

A search produced:

New Delhi PowerShell User Group.: “Smart Backup” using PowerShell

A windows Explorer search produces nothing useful. Tracing a test folder that I made, Smart Backup stores it in C: > Users > Username > My Documents

How could this have entered my PC? Is it safe? How to get rid of it?

I would think it some sort of Backup program that was installed as a tag a long when you downloaded something else.If it's a program you don't want just remove it and run a couple of scans to make sure you don't have some other little goodies that were tag a longs.

That's a dufferent program. The one on my PC is called "Smart Backup" with a space. It is very different and has no settings. If I R. click on a file andclick on the new "Add selected files to Smart Backup" (which has a small blue icon), it is saved somewhere. An announcement peeps up then down above the Tray statig that the save has takenplace. Its a useful idea, to get a second backup of something really important, before the scheduled backup routines kick in.

EDIT: I ran AdwCleaner and it didn't find it.

Very old thread indeed, but this link in Context Menu (with the text "Add selected file(s) to Smart Backup") is from Easeus Todo Backup application...
