I am attempting to install Win 7 64-bit on a system with XP Pro 32-bit installed. I created a new primary partition for Win7 and started the install. After selecting the partition, the setup process reports that it cannot install on that partition and that I should see the setup log file for more information.
Where is this file? It's not on my target partition (drive L
, nor do I see it in the root of the C:\ partition. Does it exist somewhere, or how do I figure out what the problem is?
Is it permitted to install 64-bit Win 7 as a dual boot to Win XP Pro 32-bit?
Thanks.
