Where Is WIN 7 Update History Stored?

I've cloned a couple of computer's drives and when I swap the clone for the original, the clone's WIN Update History is always blank (starts new from that date). Yet all the previous updates are in fact installed as listed in the original drive.

So where does WIN store its Updates History because they are not show in History on the freshly cloned drive, even though they are installed? Is it something not cloned (like the swap file which I understand may not be copied by cloning software (Samsung Data Migration)) or does Microsoft store it in the cloud somewhere along with that computer's WIN Authorization code?

Hi Poolmon,
there are 2 options on the windows update gui
view update history (top left)
installed updates (bottom left).

If they dont give you the info try this from an Admin command mode
"systeminfo > c:\updates.txt" and a file will be generated

MS does not keep a list of installed updates "in the Cloud"
WU performs an internal check on your comp.

That's interesting. The top left Update History shows only a small number of updates installed since the cloning process (in Feb. 2016). The bottom left Installed Updates shows 520 updates installed since 2013.
Thanks for the info. I had not focused on the bottom left link.

I just tried the command you describe torchwood.
It provides the text file, but the text file shows: "Hotfix(s): 430 Hotfix(s) Installed."
But the list ends with: "[245]: KB3022345
[246]: "

Is there a way to get all 430 of them shown?

Hi Z,
As in my first post, update lists can be found on either of those 2 options(top/bottom).
You lose a set if you rename the SoftwareDistribution folder.
