I purchased a new laptop running Windows 10. I want to wipe my old HP and do a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium. I don't want to reinstall using HP's disc if I can avoid it. Prefer a clean and light running PC since this will really only be for miscellaneous use.
Anyway, I thought I could download a copy of 7, burn to a bootable USB and install, entering my C of A when prompted. But when I tried downloading from MS, I was asked for the C of A, only to be told it was an OEM and I needed to contact the manufacturer directly. Any way to get around this? Thank you.
