Solved Where to find Realtek

Hey guys bought Asus
M5A88-V EVO can anybody guide me to find the realtek audio control pannel as the microphone aint working n others too

Just type realtek into the start menu and it should appear or control panel in small icon view.

Have a look in control panel and installed programs. Could it be you haven't got it at all.

When you say "Not Working" what do you actually mean, you cant hear sound, the speakers are not working "Other too".

Just because you have Realtek does not meant there software is installed.

Please answer the following.

1, Can you hear sound.
2, Have you ever heard sound.
3, Has the Microphone ever worked.
4, Have you installed UPDATED drivers.
5, Have you looked into the Windows Sound control panel located Via the Speaker next too the Clock.

When you say "Not Working" what do you actually mean, you cant hear sound, the speakers are not working "Other too".

Just because you have Realtek does not meant there software is installed.

3. no i am facing that problem only so as to get realtek n switch it on from tere

5. yes i have looked it says not plugged in microphone but i have plugged that red into red still it says unplugged zz help

Did you install the driver or did Windows?

its still open mate from the asus motherboard cd i installed the rivers of sound not from windows 7 cd

I would suggest you download the latest drivers from ASUS website, although they only list 1 driver so it may be the same as you already have.

Otherwise you could search your Windows drive for "RtkNGUI.exe" (32bit Win) or "RtkNGUI64.exe" (64bit Win). File description is "Realtek HD Audio Manager".

You can check the drivers on the cd for the file incase it's a different version to what I downloaded (Post #10).

Extract them if they are a .exe or .zip, search for *.exe, hover over them and read the File description and then search you Windows drive for the files.

If the file is not there then it is not installed.

"RtHDVCpl.exe" and "RtHDVCpl64.exe" also has the File description "Realtek HD Audio Manager".
