where's my icon gone?

this isn't really an internet/networking problem, i wasn't sure where to put it really...i'm sure the mods will move if they see fit...

anyway, i've just been re-arranging my start menu items, and i notice that my IE8 icon has gone AWOL.

obviously i right-clicked on the shortcut, and tried to change icon, but that didn't work...nor did several reboots.

i hardly use IE8, as i love chrome, so it's no big deal, but does anyone know how to solve this?

*UPDATE* it seemed to sort itself out after another reboot or two...:confused:

This has happened to me before, also in XP x64 - I believe it's down to the way Windows caches icons from the respective exe/dll's.

As you said, usually sorts itself out after a reboot, sometimes even after pressing F5.
