Hi,
This is a HP 6720s notebook. It came with Windows Vista and it's now running Windows 7. (clean install)
HP never released Windows 7 drivers for this notebook.
I'm currently using the Vista drivers for some devices. We know Vista drivers often work with 7 since they are similar. But what's up with the graphics card?
I have multiple drivers to use.
I need some advice to make the smart choice on which one to use on Windows 7.
Option A) THIS driver from HP's website
(This is what I'm using right now. *Seems* to work, but there are some problems. YouTube doesn't go fullscreen for example.)
Option B) The other 2 GPU drivers on HP's driver website for this model:here
(I got to this page by HP's official auto-detect tool. It gives me no recommendation on which driver should I use, just points me to this list.)
Option C) A generic driver from Intel's website (also by using the autodetect tool). That one is specifically for Windows 7, but since there are customized drivers available for this notebook, I'm not sure if using generic drivers is a good idea or even if it's possible.
Option D) Driver from Windows Update. I don't know anything about that. I'm not sure if that's a customized one or a generic one.
What should I do?
EDIT: This notebook has Intel GMA x3100 GPU
