I sent my hard drive this morning to Seagate for RMA and they got it already after a few hours. Maybe in a week or less, they will be able to send me a new one. I just want to know which drivers am I going to need to I'll download them now so that when my new hard drive comes, then all stuff will be ready to be installed.

Here are my PC Specs:

Processor: Intel Core i7 860 @ 2.80 Ghz
Motherboard: Asus P7P55D LE
Video Card: ECS GeForce GTS 250
RAM: 2 * 4 GB G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 1600Mhz
Power Supply: 500 W. (I don't know the brand because my dad bought this CPU from Greece built already.)
Hard Drive: 1 x 1 TB Seagate

With Windows 7, it will install many drivers. Exactly which ones will need installing after the Windows 7 install will vary from system to system. You will probably, at least, need to install the ASUS supplied sound driver and video drivers from the video card vendor. After you get it installed, check the Device Manager and see if there are any error devices.

The reason for the sound drivers is that in most cases Windows will just install the generic "HD Audio Codec" and that will give you some basic sound functions but not all the features that the actual sound device drivers from ASUS will.

There may be some special ASUS supplied utilities and those will have to be installed also.

I might be totally wrong on this and if I am I'm sure others will jump in to correct me. But it might be a bit premature to try to figure out what drivers you're going to need. Windows 7 comes with a bunch of drivers already included with the operating system. Since the drive you get back from Seagate will be wiped clean, you're going to have to do a clean install and many of your drivers will be automatically installed. Any remaining drivers will probably be available from the computer manufacturer's website. They usually have a link for "downloads and drivers" or something to that effect.

As we know that almost everything in PC works on the principle of plug and play. Once you get the hard drive disk back from Seagate, install it with caution and follow necessary steps. Windows 7 will do all drivers installations automatically. However, it will download only generic driver. Go to device manager (start, right click on computer, then click on manage and finally click on device manager) and check if anything is missing. If yes, download it from the manufacturer web site. Everything works fine with generic drivers, you can leave it as is. Would you wish to update the latest version, please go the manufacturer's web site. Here are steps to do it:
While being in device manager tool, double click on the hard drive or expand it and then right click on the type of hdd to get a dialog box. Click properties, click driver tab, then choose update driver. Choose the option that suits you. If anything goes wrong, don't forget to roll back driver.
