Hey All, im looking for a new graphics card to replace my burnt Nvidia 8800GT 512mb. Could anyone recommand a reliable and powerful graphics card that would run games like Flight Simulator X , Left for Dead 2 , Americas army 3, COD, Crysis, Mafia 2... and pretty much most modern games... on Max or close to max settings on 1680x1050?
I have a MAX Budget of £140 / $220 / €170 ?
Any Suggestions..?
Do you suggest i should buy an additional cooler for the G - Card?

Thank you, look forward to your replies :)

G'day Prak06, welcome to the Windows 7 Forums.
Can I ask what the specifications are on your system so I or someone else on the forum can reccomend something that would suit the rest of your system. Specifically the Motherboard, CPU and Power Supply Unit are what I'm after...
CPU-Z will help you with almost all of that.
To find out about the PSU, you're going to have to take the side off of your case and read the label on the side of the PSU. Post back with the PSU wattage and how many amps are on the +12v rail along with the system specs, and I'll see what I can come up with.

Cheers,
~Hillbilly.

I have a Dell Vostro 410. Please see the specs below:-

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9450 @ 2.66GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce 8800 GT
DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC
Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0611&SUBSYS_053C10DE&REV_A2
Display Memory: 1778 MB
Dedicated Memory: 499 MB
Shared Memory: 1279 MB
Current Mode: 1680 x 1050 (32 bit) (60Hz)
Monitor: Dell E228WFP

Here's what the sticker on the PSU says:

MODEL:- DPS - 350VB - 1B

INPUT 100 - 127V ~ 10A, 200 - 240V ~15A
___ ___
OUTPUT +12VA --- / 12A +12VB --- / 18A
___ ___
MAX POWER +5V --- / 18A +5VAUX --- / 2A
___ ___
350W +3.3V --- / 17A -12V --- 0.8A

The Combined Power On +12VA & +12VB Total 300W Max
The Combined Power On +5V & +3.3V Total 160W Max

So all I know from this is that it is a 350W PSU

But i am replacing my PSU to this: Arctic Power 500W PSU With PCI-E 2x SATA, 20+4 ATX12V.. | Ebuyer.com
