Im perhaps a little bias as iv just ordered a palit gtx 560 - CLICK

But i think its superior to the ati due to its small size, better drivers, more customizable control panel and use of physX which you can see below:

From you system specs I see that you are playing at a 1600x1200 resolution. The bigger the resolution, it's recommended to have more VRAM. So from those two, I'd take the HD6950, since it has double the RAM.
And imo, the physx option does not justify the lack of 1GB of VRAM. PhysX is just extreme eyecandy.
And if you really REALLY want physx, you can buy a second Nvidia card that you can put to process only the PhysX process. a GT8800 or 9800 will do the trick.

Well you could just buy a 2gb GTX 560 and have everything - GTX560 2GB

But really both the ati and nvidea cards are pretty similar and it comes down to what you prefer.

6950 2gb vs 560 TI 1gb ?

Dude you can get like 4 million opinions on this. In the end it's you who have to make the decision.

Also bear in mind that some of us (me) have never tried the other guy's cards - I've never used an Nvidia card. Point??? I can't "personally" comment on their performance.... just as there are those who've never used ATI cards.

As one who owns a 6950 I can say I'm very happy with it's performance. And the price wasn't bad either. I'm sure Nvidia owners will say the same about the 560 so.....????

My best advice is to go with what you know, and are comfortable with. Read reviews and make a decision from there.

Good luck.

Well I have for one use/have used both..not the 2 6 series or 5 series NV but

I had a 5850 which I dumped for 2x 460 GTX's...ATI drivers imo leave a lot to be desired...Xfire doesn't scale as well as SLI does, NV handles tessallation better, has Physx etc.

I'm currently waiting on a GTX 570 which runs as well as if not better than the GTX 480..granted it's not a 560 but if I were you I'd go for the 570 over a 560...and I did consider both.

I'm in no way a fanboy of either camp but atm I lean toward NV atm due to the better drivers and SLI scaling...(plan on a second card possibly 2 depending on finances after harvest is done)

but in the end mate its your call...as Sygnus said above read reviews til your sick of them and make a decision or what you think is best for your purposes...

Cheers and gl with w/e u get.
