Which network driver do you recommend should use when it comes to reinstalling?

I would speculate that you don't honestly have a choice here. Rather, depending on how your machine came configured... that's what the appropriate driver to be used should be. Maybe there were hardware upgrade options you did or did not exercise, which would help to clarify?

What is the actual hardware configuration in your particular machine? What is the actual NIC/LAN chip (or additional wireless adapter) that you have?

What driver is currently in use, since you're just reinstalling to the same box? If it works, why change it? Just get the most current version of the same one, I would think.

Seems like the hardware in the computer should determine which driver you MUST use, and whether you actually have any choice for that hardware?

Why don't you contact HP and ask them?

Go to control panel, device manager, network adapters and see what is listed for your wifi adapter, and network controller, then go to HP and select the driver for that device listing.
