which of these 2 psu's

hi folks
i cant make my mind up which of these 2 psu's to buy tomorrow. with a modular psu i get more space in my case so good airflow. nut ive seen some bad reviews.
non modular i get a shed load of wires takin up loads of room, these r the 2 im lookin at

ive never bought a psu b4 and dont know which is the better modular or non modular. ive also read that 2 12v rails r better than 1. i have a a none modular dual rail at the min but its cheap 1 ezcool ps1000 infinty 800w made by JSP Tech.

which do u think is the better psu or can u suggest a decent 1. the xfx is my max budget

Id try for a Corsair, Antec or Seasonic.
Im not too familiar with either of the 2 you've linked in terms of reliability.


Is this for the PC in your system Specs? If so, why not just go with a 550 or 650W? Will still be plenty of power with room for upgrades.

750W is a bit overkill for that setup.

When buying a PSU, it's better to get a quality brand, like Corsair.
I have one & I'm very pleased with its performance.
I'd suggest something like this: Corsair TX 650W V2 Bronze Certified

yeah its the pc in my specs. i was originally gonna go for a 600w but for the sake of a tenna i thought a 750w. i am planning on upgrading to a phenom x4 3.4 black and eventually will crossfire too.

edit: it doesnt say the cpu connector type 4 or 8pin or 4+4? on that corsair

i wanted a corsair psu but im at my max budget n the mrs will giv me more grief than its worth if i up it anymore lol so unless i can find a 750w corsair for £70 then it will have to b the coolermatser1 i think. they r a good brand from the reviews ive read

its only 6 mnths old. the person that built my pc put it in. ive read too many stories about cheap psu,s n ive spent to much to lose it because of a cheap psu. better safe ethan sorry enit.

The 2011 list is 3 months old... the old list lower down is 5 years old. These guys have been at this a while.

my apologies i didnt notice the big 2011 at the top lol. i just looked at the littke date it was posted. they been updatin it 4 a while then fairplay!

I would say Corsair Antec an Seasonic too, with a qualification. But be aware, some modular PSU are modular components but lots of hardwired connectors as well. I have the Antec New Truepower and the non-mudular part is a beast. Make sure you look carefully at the non-modular part of the PSU.

the psu i decided on isnt modular. its the xfx 1 but its made by seasonic. every review ive read has been good and this 1 gives all test results which look very good
