As it was pointed out to me, running a hacked version of Windows 7 is not a very smart idea, for purposes of compatibility issues.

So, I'm reinstalling my Windows 7 Ultimate.
HOWEVER, I'm not sure which one I should install... 32bit, or 64bit.

As you can see by my sig, I have a 64-bit processor.
But I also know 64-bit operating systems are memory-consuming and clunky, and difficult to make visual mods on. (though I could use the practice anyway)

So what do y'all think? 32 or 64? And why?

One of the big advantages to 64 bit is that you can use more than 4 GB of memory. You have only 3 GB so you would gain nothing there. Finding drivers for programs in 64 bit is not as easy as 32 bit. I would suggest staying with 32 bit Win 7.

IMO go 64 bit and get more ram. I have had almost no issues installing 32 bit software on W7 64bit. Found all drivers no problem.

Thumb drives are good for low ram puters, there fairly cheap. ReadyBoost works with W7. If you do not want to buy more ram, consider this.
I'd still go 64 bit,, tho.

What do you mean "theme mods"? More ram would certainly help an editing puter.

But here's the thing: I'm gonna be selling my laptop so upgrading RAM at this point is not going to happen, unless the person buying it wants to buy more RAM and have me install it. I have a 16GB flash drive I've used for readyboost before, I know it's good for that.
And theme mods meaning custom 3rd party themes, as well as one theme I've been working on. Also, a WMP skin I'm working on. The mods that I do are more as a result of mild ADHD and not as a result of need.
