Which software will I use?

Hey guys! I just want to ask which software will I use to perform tasks via boot mode say for example partitioning hard drives if there is no OS yet and the like. I heard there is this spotmau power suite but there might be more reliable or complete programs which can do those jobs well.

If you want partitioning specifically, GParted [GParted -- Live CD/USB/PXE/HD] works great.

I'm kind of shooting in the dark since you only mentioned partitioning and I don't really know what else you are expecting this "suite" to have.
