Which SSD: 'old' or new?

I have two 1TB SSDs, both Crucial brand. One is a M550, the other is M500. This is more about reliability than speed, as my understanding is the M550 is the faster of the two.

The M550 is in this computer as the OS drive and has been in use for about two years. The M500 is basically new, used only a few times (it's a 'thumb drive' at the moment).

I'll be putting together a new build pretty soon and would like your advise on which drive to put in the new build: used or new?

Which ever drive I put into the new build, the other will be going into this build as I'm still going to be using it.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!

I'd go with M500. New is new always. :)

Looks like they are both going to be used. So does it really matter which goes where.

That's kind of what I was leaning to. Being used to hard drives, I just have no idea of the duty cycle life off SSDs. So I figured using the new one would give me, theoretically anyway, two years more life.

Sorry, I guess I should have been more clear. The new build will be my everyday computer. The 'old' machine will be rarely used by comparison.
