Solved Which VC++ to Install

As can be seen in the screenshot, I have a bunch of installation of VC and updates. Despite this, often a program that I'm installing pops a window asking for a disk for VC, which in one case that I have checked, it shouldn't, because the program itself is supposed to install what it needs. Also, when uninstalling a program, I'm forced to use Revo, because the builtin installer can't find VC, and aborts.

In preparation for doing a clean install of W7 for a new hardware build, I'm trying to decide which, if any VC to install? I don't believe that I need what I have now, but don't want to go uninstallng them, because I don't know which programs that would effect. Again, what should I actually install?

Well... potentially you need all of them :/

And with an x64 install you potentially need the x64 and x32 versions.

I'd not install any up front, then just install them if/when it becomes necessary as ususal as you say, you should NOT have to install any ever because the programs themselves should if necessary, but sometimes don't. I never preinstall any and for the most part I've had good luck not having to hand install them. But every now and then.. ugh.

They are such small in size I've yet to delete any of them.
You never know what it is attached to until it's too late. Just leave them alone. IMHO.

Thanks, but like I said, my question pertains mostly to how to deal with the new installation, rather than this one.

if it helps, i've never had to install any myself manually.

some games (generally) seem to install them for me.
