Which Version of Windows 7

I am considering upgrading my PC to Windows 7 64bit Home Premium to avail of the full 4mb of ram. If I buy a Windows 7 Upgrade disc will it allow me to install the 64bit version even though the current install is Vista 32bit Home Premium?

However, you need to be aware that it must be a clean installation as you cannot directly upgrade a 32-bit OS to a 64-bit one (or vice-versa). You also need to ensure that you have 64-bit drivers available for your system.

Thanks Dwarf. Is it possible to install Windows 7 64 bit on an external Esata drive and keep Vista on the "C" drive?
