hey guys am building a media center for my room and i was hopiong to use windows 7 but witch one would be best for the job ? and the specs of the system is 12gb of ddr3 ram intel core i7 bloomfield and 3 1tb hdds plus tv card and sound card and hd tv output card all in 1 card reader 2 sata dvd burners 850w psu and everest water cooling

- nice set-up, dude..
- with that rig, I'd go for Ultimate 64-bit

I have the same curiosity! :D

If you don't do backups over the network and the BitLocker thing, you don't need Ultimate only to use Media Center.

Good luck with Ultimate, but I suggest to wait for Christmas sale or something like that.

I think you'd get by just fine with Home Premium.
