Hello everyone!

When I am watching movies in my LapTop, I want the computer to go sleeping in 30 min. I have set on Battery mode that in 30 minutes it goes to sleep, but while watching a movie it won't go to sleep mode.

Can someone suggest me solutions or someone have had that same problem?

OS windows 7 ultimate 32-bit.

Thanks,
M7R.

Which media player are you using? There might be a setting that enables the PC to go to sleep mode while you're playing videos.

Alternatively, you can force the hard disk to turn off after a certain period of time. By Win7 default, it does exactly that after 20 mins of idle time, unless you turned this off.

For WMP, you can try and change the Power Settings for Windows.

1. Click the Start menu, then type "power" into search; from the list of search results, click Power Settings under Control Panel
2. Click on change power settings for the plan you have chosen
3. Click on "change advanced power settings".
4. When a new window opens, scroll down to Multimedia settings, then "When sharing media" and use the option "Allow the computer to sleep".
5. Apply, OK, close Control Panel window.
