Solved Why cant I shrink Drive C more than 16GB?

#1 Did you create a Partition Wizard Bootable CD ?
#2 Did you read up on how to use it ? It`s very easy.

No, I didn't do anything with partition wizard other than what I said. Does it seem like anything is wrong from the screenshot I uploaded?

If that 25GB partition is not needed, I would start out by first adding it to C: using Partition Wizard Bootable CD.

Do you own a blank cd ?

You could also, if you haven`t yet, install Partition Wizard 7 and use it from within windows, but I do not recommend doing it that way.

Looks like you deleted your Recovery partition and created a new partition there without any letter.

If you want to add it to C then boot PW CD to delete it and Resize C into the space: Partition Wizard Move/Resize Partition Video Help.

Then Resize C from the right to make a partition to install Win8 if you still plan to do that.

Thanks for your help everyone.

I just learned that my really really really old laptop can run the 32 bit version of windows 8. I never though it would, but it just meets the specs. So I figure it will be easier to just do it on there considering I never use it anymore and wont care if it gets wiped out.

With all my harddrive and partition issues, Im going to follow your directions and merge the 25GB into the main partition and be done with that.
