Why can't I view the taskbar when I have windows maximised?
I have the taskbar on auto hide.
Also, if I have the window near the bottom of the screen and I activate the taskbar it goes partially behind the window!
#firstworldpains
Bit annoying that, is there something wrong with my settings?

Turn off auto hide, there is no reason to use it. If you want a full page view just hit F11.

Yes I quite like that setting, might give that a trial. Still would like to know if there is something I have set incorrectly that is causing the aforementioned glitch though. Thanks for the suggestion.

Could it have to do with your screen resolution you have, sometime's if it's an odd res, might cause problem.

It's a 1600x900 screen so I have it set to that, not sure how that could be the problem. Also don't know what you mean about taskbar on top, I had it set to the bottom of the screen, I guess that's not what you meant though. Can't see any options in the options for setting to be on top ie. in front of windows that are open.

Sorry i thought there was a setting to always keep it on top, the other question are we talking laptop or desktop because 1600x900 is not a res i'm familiar with. I always use the hide taskbar on my desktop and never have that problem, but i don't use the option to go full screen, i just drag the corner to full screen.

Laptop- Sony Vaio. 1600x900 is the recommended setting, which makes a lot of sense seeing as that is the resolution of the screen

Earlier version of Windows DID include a setting, Always on top, meaning in front of other windows. On top of whatever was on the screen, not the top of display.
