Solved Why do Favorites keep disappearing?

Got a new MaxForce dual boot PC w/ Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and Windows XP 32 bit installed. I prefer Firefox, but my wife likes Internet Explorer, so we've got both browsers installed on both sides of the PC. The problem I'm having w/ Windows 7 is that the favorites keep disappearing on Internet Explorer. Doesn't seem to be a problem w/ Firefox. I was using Explorer 9 Beta (which I don't like anyway), so I thought since it's still in beta, maybe that's the problem. Uninstalled Explorer 9, now using Explorer 8, but the disappearing Favorites is still w/ me.

At random times, when I click on the "Favorites" tab, there will be nothing there. Looking in the user files, the Favorites folder and the HTML file is still there w/ all the links intact. Try to import to Internet Explorer from the HTML file, but Explorer won't allow. If I do enough clicking around, etc., in different files and then go back to Internet Explorer, the Favorites are back. Anyone have any idea what's going ?.

This fix looks like it will solve a myriad of problems. My wife told me to contact Max in the first place. Memo to self: always listen to your wife.[/FONT]
