Hello,
now I am able to send you my Zip-File.

My PC is dedicated to Video and picture work, Music and GPS. Therefore I have a lot of different programms on my PC.

My BSOD happens mostly during the long time period of rendering a video (up to 12 hours).

So far I have used the Nils Sofer Programm shown here:There are a lot of crashes documented in the Windows/Minidump directory. But the last few are missing. Therefore I have looked up the way to control the output of a BSOD and have changed the settings as shown in the sceenshot. I believe that is correct. But the minidump from last night is missing.

I have found a Memory.dmp in Windows directory from 15.8.2013, but this is very large. I can not open it and read it.

Further I have send the Zip-File generated by the SF_Diagnostic_Tool.

Can you help me to identify the source of my BSOD and how to overcome this bad situation?.

Thanks in advance and greetings HPN

First, we want to make sure the computer is saving your dump files. Go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Startup and Recovery [Settings] Make sure that "Write Debugging Information" is set to Small Memory Dump (256kb) if it is not already.
Next, make sure that the folder C:\Windows\Minidump exists. If not, create it (allow permission if asked). Make sure any dumps you want to analyze, whether yours or others', are in this folder. You can ZIP/RAR the files and send them to someone else to analyze as well.

Reduce the start-up items, Antivirus software is basically whats required.

McAfee is a frequent cause of BSODs. Please uninstall it and use Microsoft Security Essentials & the Free version of Malwarebytes, update and make full scans separately:

Monitor hardware temperature with system monitoring software like Speccy or HWMonitor. Upload a screen shot of the Summary tab as well:

Hello koolcat77,
I have need some time to do all the things you have written to me.

I have generated a 2. Boot-Partition with win 7 and I have installed only a few programms, which are essential for my work. These are programms for video- and picture-work. I also have reduced the number of autostarting programs close to zero. Thus I believe, that is now a clean new system.

I now use only Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes.
I have run the System File Checker, Disk Check for my Harddrive, CrystalDiskInfo and HD Tune for HDD, Memtest86+ with 7 passes without any bad result.
I have monitored the CPU-temperature with ASRock extreme tuner. The temperature is 52° C at maximum. Most values are around 45° C.
Today I have had my first BSOD since I have started my work on the new 2. partition.

I send you the minidump-file and the results of the SF-Diagnostic-Tools.

I have now recognized that the programm Magix Video de Luxe 2014 is corrupted by this BSOD (what was the reason and what the outcome?) and it was neccessary to repair it.

Can you help me to identify the source of my BSOD and how to overcome this bad situation?.

Thanks in advance and greetings HPN

BSOD source

Hello,
it is about 140 days ago, that I have had trouble with BSOD.
But now somethings is running seriously wrong. I have had a few BSOD in the meantime, but several during yesterday, as you can see from my data.

These BSODs are related to the Video-Programm MAGIX VDL 2014. There I am using hardware-support by Open-CL or Quicksync from Intel.

I have made a new installation of the programm VDL and use now the latest grafik-driver from AMD Radeon 67xx.

Question is: what is the source of the trouble?

Can you help me to identify the source?

Greetings HPN

Hi hpnolting.

Your latest BSODs are stop 0x101.
Code:
BugCheck 101, {31, 0, fffff880009ee180, 1}

Probably caused by : Unknown_Image ( ANALYSIS_INCONCLUSIVE )

Followup: MachineOwner
---------
Its scope is very wide. Usually ...

  • BIOS bug
  • a driver whose activity is causing the target processor to lock up
  • a hardware defect
Your BIOS is the latest, Version 2.20. So it may go off the list.

Now come to drivers. Apparently we are having two failing drivers here.

First, Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 Driver. The driver is the latest, too.
Code:
fffff880`097f5678 fffff880`06971000Unable to load image igdkmd64.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for igdkmd64.sys
[COLOR=Red]*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for igdkmd64.sys[/COLOR]
 igdkmd64+0xef000
As you have the dedicated GPU active, you may easily turn it inactive. Do it, as a test.

Next, Intel(R) Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller.
Code:
fffff880`097f58b8 fffff880`01281507Unable to load image iaStor.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for iaStor.sys
[COLOR=Red]*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for iaStor.sys[/COLOR]
 iaStor+0x2d507
Get rid of intel rapid storage. First uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Then Uninstall the driver from device manager.

  1. Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
  2. It will open the "computer management" window.
  3. Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
  4. Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
  5. Select one Intel device item under it, right click, uninstall.
  6. Continue the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
  7. Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.
Point to be noted, both the drivers are from the motherboard manufacturer.

Also, do some hardware tests .....

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.
If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Stress test the CPU.
Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

Check if the Power Supply Unit (PSU) supplying adequate power to the computer or not.
eXtreme Power Supply Calculator
Also let us know the wattage of the PSU.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy. Alternatively, you can publish a Speccy snapshot too: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/311593-speccy-publish-snapshot-your-system-specs.html .

Let us know the results.
