Why do I keep getting a Program Files (x86) (x86) folde

I keep having to delete this Program Folder which is somehow reappearing but contains no programs in it. For some reason, I see an empty My Documents folder in there which seems to be created when I open Microsoft Word. Why is this happening? I know there is supposed to be a Programs folder and Programs (x86) folder, but why this third folder?

Try checking the location of your my documents

first go to the library

then right click and properties on the expanded My Documents

Then check the location

I believe I either deleted the My Documents folder from the original location or moved it to another. Is this a problem?

LOL ...... This reminds me of the time my sister deleted the "DOS" folder on my brothers computer because she thought he didn't need it. And then couldn't understand why the computer wouldn't boot.

I recently installed an x64 version of Windows 7 Enterprise and used the Windows Easy Transfer utility. I have noticed that a number of my toolbar shortcuts (that I created myself under Windows XP Pro) have modified the "Start in:" for the shortcut to "Program Files (x86) (x86)". If the program you are running automatically creates its "Start in:" folder if it doesn't exist then this is what may be causing your problem as well. This would appear to be a bug in Microsoft's Windows Easy Transfer program when moving from a 32 bit OS to a 64 bit OS.
