Why do some programs show the type of my CPU as Core i3?

Hi,

When I check over my processor with some programs, I have noticed some of them show the type of my CPU as Core i3, the other shows as Core i5

What is the problem?

Any comments would be quite greatly appreciated

You mean the information which Wizard PC gave is not reality.

If so, then Which information can I trust, CPU or Wizard PC? I was sure that CPU core i5, but I am a little confused with this.

If you want to know what your machine is packing: Hit the windows button, and right click on COMPUTER, then click PROPERTIES.

You are comparing two applications. One from 2010, and one that's updated very often. The older ones don't always detect newer hardware properly that was released long after the software.

But with these programs, especially the Wizard PC I could see many things I couldn't see them during Windows system and also even I don't recognize that these specializations are available on my computer.

Simply because there are not any utilities with win 7 enable us to show what specialization their computers have.

You said to click on 'My computer' then right click on COMPUTER, then click PROPERTIES.

I know this well, but unfortunately this shows nothing like what has amazed me with the Wizard PC.

Could you please let me know how can I update it, because I have a version 2010 '1.95', and also there isn't any option for 'check for updates'

I am quite delirious from those who invented these things, How much brain do they have?

By the way, I didn't want to uninstall this version and reinstall the latest other version. I just want to update one I have.

It's your computer do as you see fit. The proper way would get rid of the older version and install the newer version that matches your system

I have eventually found an option for checking for a newer version.
And yes, it now shows the type of CPU as core i5

But also, this version didn't show all the browsers on my computer installed, Google Chrome didn't show with this program, although it is installed on my computer.

Yes, of course, I need software to tell me anything about my computer. This is at least which I must do as long as I cannot do anything else.

Maybe those people who would know that information off the top of their heads are genius or have been taught good education which is not like lie education I have been taught.

Thank you so much, but I think any computer has one default internet browser.
However, what I am asking about that that program showed three browsers(Safari, MS Internet Explorer and Firefox, except the Google Chrome.
