Why does my Windows look like it's 3d almost sort of not really.

Hi,
I am trying to figure out why my Windows 7 looks so weird.
I have the default theme set, I have the latest video card drivers, and latest monitor drivers, and yet it still looks funky, like weird ghost shadows on buttons, the text fonts looks weird and like offffff...
Can anyone please help me out.

Could be your monitor if it doesn't shop up on the screenshot.

I just tried a different monitor, and it works perfectly fine, must have been this monitor I had on here, thanks guys!

Have you checked the connections of the cables between the tower and the monitor and the power outlet?

Do you have a different monitor to try?

Can also be caused by how the cables connecting the monitor to the computer are routed. I have this with my HP w2207 22" display connected via DVI. Sometimes I get shadows and the display just doesn't look right. I wiggle the cables a bit and it clears up. One of these days I'll have to route them correctly and dress them so they stay that way.
