Why doesn't Windows Defender show in Action Center when needs updating

Sorry for asking many questions but I noticed when my Windows Defender is required for a auto schedule scan like maybe monday at 14:00pm and it should display a message on the action center asking for it to scan but it doesn't tell me it needs to so I have to manual find windows defender then scan it yet the time(14:30) has past.

Hi John go to Windows Defender options and untick run a scan only when system is idle Hope it helps
