Solved Why has my genuine Windows 7 Home Premium turned 'Un-genuine'?

I've bought an Asus Laptop last year with a genuine copy of windows 7 Home Premium. But, as of today, it has turned 'un-genuine'. Why is it so? What can I do?

The problem here is that the BIOS SLIC table - which allows the currently-installed OEM_SLP Key to re-activate every time the machine boots - appears to have been deleted (Possibly by a BIOS update?).



You need to change the Product Key to the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case (or inside the battery compartment), using the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System properties page.


You may need to activate by phone.
